Anyone who knows me knows that I can be a sucker for a challenge. (Anyone remember that Finish the Book before New Year's contest I hosted back in the day? Oh my...) Anyway, I mentioned the read the Bible in 90 days challenge yesterday. Well, guess what? I've got a partner! Pammer, a frequent commenter here has decided to join in and Robin Lee Hatcher over at Write Minded will be doing it as well. To get a few more folks on board, I've decided to give away one of these 90 day Bibles as the gift for the Super Soak Challenge and for the winner of the First Sight contest. (Don't worry. The soaker gets the bath goodies too. LOL)
If this doesn't sound like your cuppa (no problem), would you pray for Pammer and me? We all know how things come up whenever you try to do something positive. I'm going to use my Bible CDs as a backup for the days when things get crazy. You can get the 90 Day Bible here.
In other news, I sent of my JADE edits yesterday. :::Whew::: I usually say Woohoo! but it's just whew... LOL God bless my editors. They really caught some great snags this time all while encouraging me about the good stuff too. Don't you just love when people do that? I do. Now I've got to do another big mailout and tie up some more loose ends before bunking in with the fam this weekend to get this Christmas thing going.
I think I'm going to make pumpkin chili and cornbread tonight... (Don't make that face, it's good! You can hardly taste it but it's denser and gives the kiddos and the mommies some fiber).
Be blessed,
MG
Mary, Mary, why do you do this to me? I'm definitely on board for this one. I'm even going to put up a post about it on my blog. Are we all starting on the same day?

I made the face about the chili... mom however wants your recipe. LOL
oh and I'm intrigued by the 90 day thing. Can't afford the bible and don't know if I have enough discipline. LOL

I don't think it counts but I'm almost through the Bible again. Tomorrow is Philemon and most of Ephesians. I read it through every year( I use a Chronological Bible).....It's not a big deal....I teach the Bible, so it keeps me on my toes!

Hi Marilyn,
I admire you for doing the 90 day thing. I use the Inductive Study Bible—you know, the 90 year plan? LOL
If you're handing out pumpkin chili recipes, I'll take one! It sounds interesting and I have a pumpkin in my garage that knows we shouldn't eat that much pie.
Blessings,
Lynetta

Well, you know, I'm so torn... honestly, I could probably use a jolt in the pants like this, because I need some spiritual food, you know? And then I think of how I'm slacking on the study I'm already doing. Ugh. But the more I keep mentally ughing and am reminded of how I went ugh when a good friend asked me today how I was doing spiritually, and I think, well, maybe I'd better. Even if I try and fail, it's more food than if I hadn't tried, right? Count me in.

Pumpkin chili sounds remarkable. Please pass the recipe to me.

I'm with the rest of the girls! Give me the recipe, it sounds awesome. (We like the vegetarian variety of the chili too.)
I'm really looking forward to it and I challenged my boys (all three of them). The two kids accepted the challenge, (the youngest slower to respond because he doesn't like reading [I know, if he didn't look so much like me I would think they switched at the hospital] but he loves his Saviour so he agreed). The husband hasn't responded yet. But we'll lasso him too. :0)
Hugs!
