Always the crockpot-soak over night and start in the morning. Good to go for a hot meal at night.

The same with the chicken, stick the whole chicken in the crock pot with a can of soup and veggies-you have chicken for supper and then you can use the broth to make a hearty soup-after you clean out the bones, make noodles and you have another meal.

Hey, you can even make meatloaf in the crockpot.

Last night at the church potluck, the pastor did a song on Tuna casserole, another inexpensive staple, do not forget the potato chips on top!
