Camy here, talking my favorite reading genre, chick lit!
And since you’re on this blog reading, there’s a good chance it’s your favorite, too. Or one of your favorites. Or at least a genre you wouldn’t mind reading.
I’m in good company here on the Faithchick blog. All these ladies are awesome! Most of them think WAY deeper than I do, which is okay with me. You need a little dessert after your three course meal, right? I am your whipped cream topping, baby!
So anyway ...
Why do I love chick lit? Because it’s FUNNY! I love laughing while I’m reading (except when I’m eating while I’m reading, because then things just get nasty).
I also like how chick lit or mom lit or lady lit is ALL ABOUT THE GIRL! I like reading about other women and their struggles and their mess-ups and their Accidental falling down the stairs scenes. Or Using a little too much hairspray that morning scenes. Or Not looking when she’s backing out of a parking stall scenes.
You know what I mean.
So, in honor of my favorite genre (actually, the real reason is because I’m excited my new novel just released), I’m giving away three copies of Only Uni! Just leave a comment with your email address (use this format so you don’t get spammed: yourname {at} yahoo {dotty} com).
You have a week to comment. On Thursday, April 3rd, I’ll pick 3 names out of a hat and announce the winners here (I’ll also email the winners—hence, the email address I’m asking you to leave).
If you’re curious about this Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius I’m giving away, here’s the back cover blurb:
Will Trish Sakai be able to follow her three Corinthian rules and hold out against two gorgeous guys?
When her mom has a heart attack, Trish thinks God is punishing her and vows to change her wild, flirtatious behavior. She creates three rules from First and Second Corinthians and plans to follow them to the letter. No more looking at men! No more dating non-Christians! She will persevere in hardship by relying on God.
Except now her artist ex-boyfriend keeps showing up claiming Trish is his muse and he can’t complete his major work of art without her. And a gorgeous coworker is reassigned, bringing him in daily contact with Trish.
She thought changing her behavior would be a cinch, but suddenly Trish’s simple rules don’t seem so simple after all.
Camy Tang is the loud Asian chick who writes loud Asian chick lit. She is a staff worker for her church youth group and leads a worship team for Sunday service. She also runs the Story Sensei fiction critique service. On her blog, she gives away Christian novels every Monday and Thursday, and she ponders frivolous things like dumb dogs (namely, hers), coffee-geek husbands (no resemblance to her own...), the writing journey, Asiana, and anything else that comes to mind. Visit her website at http://www.camytang.com/ for a huge website contest going on right now, giving away five boxes of books and 25 copies of her latest release, Only Uni. Contest ends March 31st!

chick lit is so fun to read. I love it. I currently have Sushi for One and it is on my to-be-read-next list. I would love to have the second book as well.

Hey, I heard good things about the novel. The thing I love about chick lit is that I can relate to the not-so-perfect characters and that the ending isn't always what you expect. It's not about the guy, it's about the girl. You go girl.
