I have a favorite pair of blue jeans. Stretch low riders. Do they get more comfortable than stretch low-riders? On my fat days, I'm comfortable, on my skinny days, I feel uber-skinny.
These fav jeans are starting show some wear. You know how the thighs start to look worn and faded, little pieces of denim are starting to pop up.
Soon, all too soon, I know they'll have to go the way of all blue jeans... and I'm already sad.
Where am I going to find another pair that does grip my waist or tug on my bee-hind? I have other jeans, sure, but none like these.
I had other favorites before these, but I'm really, really going to miss this pair.
Do you remember your favorite pair of jeans? Ever? I had a pair in high school with the knitted pocket trim and the extra panel in the bell at the bottom with a knitted inlay. Great pair of jean.
Funny how we get attached to clothes. I have a closet full of stuff I never wear cause I'm bored with it. And some I can't because I need to loose 15 lbs. Note to self: Lose 15 lbs.
But I can wear these old blue jeans every day. I never get tired of them. They get washed a couple times a week (I loath jeans that can walk without me.)
Comfort in the small things makes me smile.
Peace and Grace!

I sure do, Rachel! And as I'm losing weight, they're getting more and more comfortable. I never feel them around my waist any more. LOL - that's because they're starting to fall down to my hips, but they aren't low-riders. While I'm glad the weight is leaving, I'll be sad when the jeans do, too. Leave, I mean.

I keep hearing that old song in my head: "I put my blue jeans on, I put my ol' blue jeans on." Whoever wrote that song obviously knew well of what you speak!

Mine are actually a pair of khaki cotton capris. Definitely showing wear and doubt I'll ever find another pair that even comes close. It's like finding a great color of lipstick, then discovering it was a promotion color and you can't get it anymore.
