Q: Should I get permission to use people's names or change the names and use a disclaimer?

A: Again, we do not wish to put any woman in danger. Get permission if you can or change names and put a disclaimer at the end. Names are not essential. It's your story we need to hear. Thanks for your interest.

Pseudonyms

Q: I'd like to submit to Sistahfaith, but because of I don't want to damage my children's relationship with their father, I may need to write under another name. Can I do that?

A: Yes. Sistahfaith stories can be published under a psuedonym, but we will have to know your identity in order to contact you if your story is chosen. However, some contributors may be invited to participate in future Sistahfaith speaking engagements, so every woman must decide if she's really free to tell her tale. We don't want to put anyone in harm's way.
